For mobile use we have found that the midland 6db antenna either on a magnet mount or a bracket works very well for a mobile antenna.Also the midland 3db “ghost” antenna workd Much better than we ever expected!
For base station and repeater use, the comet CA-712EFC is Very good, running close to it are the comet GP-6NC, and Comet GP-9NC all 3 of these antennas are tuned for and work well on GMRS.
